My roommate and I really like him. He does thorough work and is friendly and funny and informative. My roommate had some teeth pulled and she didn't have pain. I like the way he shows you your x-rays and explains the state of your teeth. His staff is also friendly and seem to like him so it is a pleasant place. I actually look forward to going there.

Overall

Always in a rush and doesn't particularly listen to your concerns and before you know it he will have cut your tongue and lip, done work on the wrong tooth, and then he's off to the next patient- he's also rough on cleanings and rude to his office staff

Overall
negligence and abbandonment

I had a cavity filled and a root canal which have already been paid.

My tooth is aching after months he performed the root canal. I confronted him with this problem and does not want to fix it. I overheard telling his secretary (who is very impolite to begin with) that he will not except me.

He picks and chooses who he wants for patience. Where is the respect to the Hippocratic Oath he supposedly swore to? I through thousands of dollars out the window.Don't go to him and save your money for the several other neighboring dentists.

Not too reputable a dentist

I went to him for one root canal. It was the most painful root canal procedure I ever had in my life. Then he wanted to take out all of my silver fillings because "they were out of style", as he said. This is when I put up the red flag, sort to speak. I even got an infection from that roor canal. I called, the secretary wouldn't let me speak to him. I had to go in person to speak to him. He was nasty, and arrogant. Go eslwhere, I suggest.

I agree with review

The atmosphere is totally unprofessional with all the bickering between help and dentist. As for Doctor Carpinito, he is very abrasive in additude, and his work leaves alot to be desired, not to mention very expensive for an office of this caliber (a zoo)

Live and learn THE HARD WAY

I moved to Medford to go to Tufts University. I chipped a tooth, and I found Dr. Carpinito's ad the telephone book. [Be leary of doctors, dentests, and other professionas with large advertisements].

The dentist did fix my tooth, but he used the wrong color for the bonding. So, I had a tan tooth among my white. He must have been distracted being interrupted by orders his unpleasant secretary dictated WHILE he was fixing my tooth. I called back, but it seemed as though he didn't want to see me. So, I went in person, and explained the situation. He was not aware that it was his secretary who determined whether he see me or not.He did fix my tooth, and didn't charge me.

The question is: Who wants to go to a dentist who doesn't discipline his help? Life is hard enough - who need that? Fortunately, my collegue at Tufts suggested I go to a different one dentist, and I am very satisfied. I don't recommend Dr. Carpinito because he's not proficient and there aren't enough adjectives to describe the secretary. I felt discriminated against.

Overall
Look elsewhere

Doctor works too fast and is careless. Not to professional as he and his help are at each other's throats in front of patients. He does not return emergency calls, and is very high-priced.
